Chrysler recalls 211,000 vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shared this weekend that Chrysler is recalling more than 211,000 vehicles in the United States over a software malfunction that could disable their stability control system.

The agency shared that the malfunction could result in the Anti-Lock Brake System control module disabling the electronic stability control system, which would make it harder to drive the vehicle safely.

“Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash,” the NHTSA said.

The recall affects certain 2022 Dodge Durango models and Ram 2500 and 3500s, the agency shared.

Those with a recalled vehicle can bring it to their dealer, where an update to the control module software will resolve the issue at no cost, the NHTSA shared.
