Despite rising egg prices across the United States, families continue to embrace the beloved Easter tradition of dyeing eggs. “Now, if you shop real hard, and you go online, I’ve seen eggs selling anywhere from $3 to $6 a dozen, depending on the market and where you buy them.”
Strain says the Department of Justice was told by the Trump Administration to take a hard look at the price of eggs.
‘They’ll be doing an egg price probe to make sure that there’s no illegal activity going on in the pricing of eggs.”
Strain urges that buyers to shop around for the best prices before they buy.
“So, shop and look around for your eggs. So far, we have adequate supplies. Overall demand had gone down, but going into Easter, you’re going to see that spike.”
