NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rudy Giuliani’s ex-wife Judith Giuliani said he no longer resembles the man she married years ago and claimed his decline began with a failed presidential bid, after which he sought comfort from his friend Donald Trump and went down a path that led to current legal troubles and his “sad” appearance on “The Masked Singer.”

“I can certainly tell you—the person you see now is not the man I married,” she said in an Inside Edition interview that will air Tuesday.

In her first TV interview in years, Giuliani said she and her former husband were a “very good team” for a long time before “things changed.”

The ex-couple are currently entrenched in a legal battle, with Judith claiming Rudy owes her $260,000 in alimony payments following their 2019 divorce settlement. Their marriage ended after he allegedly had an affair with current girlfriend Maria Ryan, an allegation he has denied in the past.

Last week, he called the lawsuit’s claims a “gross exaggeration” and said he owes her $50,000.

The two first met in 2000, when Giuliani was married to then-wife Donna Hanover. They eventually tied the knot at Gracie Mansion in 2003.

Giuliani launched a Republican bid for president in 2008, but the campaign fell apart when he came in third in the Florida primary. John McCain sealed the GOP nomination and then lost to Barack Obama.

Trump allowed the Giulianis to stay at his Mar-A-Lago estate after the loss. “We were given a place to go where Rudy could have sanctuary and recover,” she said.

Giuliani became a big supporter of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and was made the former president’s personal attorney in 2018.

“There becomes this thing I watched happen to him – that power just becomes extremely addictive,” Giuliani said. “One of the other things Rudy also loves is the limelight.”

Giuliani said it’s been a downward spiral for her ex-husband ever since, culminating in the 2020 election fraud conspiracies that have made him the target of a criminal investigation in Georgia.

“From America’s hero to now a man whose hair dye is running down his face, what happened?” she said, referring to the 2020 news conference where black sweat dripped down the former mayor's face.

“It breaks my heart. It’s sad,” she added.

She believes his most “humiliating” moment was when he was revealed to be the Jack in the Box on “The Masked Singer” competition on Fox earlier this year.

“The guy I married would not have gone on ‘The Masked Singer,’” she said. “I just thought it was rather silly for someone in his position.”

She said media appearances like that are proof he has the money to make the payments he allegedly owes her.

“It’s not possible Rudy is broke,” she said during a confrontation with him outside a courthouse just an hour after the Inside Edition interview was filmed.

“He has been paid for multiple media appearances. He was paid a small fortune to go on ‘The Masked Singer’ as well as other things. He’s not broke,” she said.
