DETROIT (WWJ) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling thousands of vehicles in the U.S. over a potential issue with seat belts.
The recall covers more than 240,000 SUVS, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

WWJ Auto Beat Reporter Jeff Gilbert said the recall affects certain 2020 to 2021 Ford Explorers and Aviators in which the seat belt buckle anchor bolts may be improperly secured.
Ford said, so far, it's not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue.
Dealers will inspect the vehicles and make any needed repairs free of charge.
Owners of vehicles included in the recall will be notified.
