DEARBORN, Mich. (WWJ) — Ford is issuing a recall for one of its biggest sellers following 27 reports regarding driveshaft problems.

Officials with the Dearborn automaker say they’ll be mailing recall notices to owners of nearly 185,000 2021-2022 F-150 pickup trucks.

Ford officials sent a notice the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this month,

In that notice, officials say the driveshaft can fracture, potentially preventing wheels from turning properly and increasing crash risk.

The vehicles impacted by the recall are only a small percentage of F-150's built in the past year.
