Green Day is currently teasing a new project that’s been going by the title “1972.” It’s not known whether or not it’s a new album at this point, but with what sounds like unreleased music being played in the videos, fans have been concluding that something new from the group is brewing.

Armstrong, along with his bandmates Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool share 1972 as their birth year. We did a bit of sleuthing and found out that their latest teaser seemingly completes a puzzle. If you line up the dates of when each teaser was released – December 19, January 7, and January 22 – you end up getting “1972.”

What’s more, in their latest teaser bassist Mike Dirnt sprays "1972" on a wall before spraying the camera with what looks like the number 3. Could this point to a March release? We’ll just have to wait to find out more information.
