The 2024 Presidential race will likely result in another new high watermark for age in the White House.

With Nikki Haley suspending her campaign for the Republican nomination, the path is cleared for former President Donald Trump to secure his third straight GOP-supported Presidential bid, despite the heavy legal baggage he carries in 2024 with multiple criminal indictments looming.

The Democrats will back the current Commander-in-Chief, incumbent President Joe Biden.

Trump turns 78 this June, the same age Biden was when he got sworn in back in January 2021.
Meanwhile, Biden will turn 82 shortly after Election Day.

A former Democratic Presidential nominee herself, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was interviewed Tuesday on “Mornings with Zerlina,” and she urged Democratic-leaning voters to look past Biden’s advanced age.

“Somebody the other day said to me: ‘Well, but, you know, Joe Biden’s old,'” Clinton said. “I said, ‘You know what, Joe Biden is old. Let’s go ahead and accept the reality. Joe Biden is old… So we have a contest between one candidate who’s old, but who’s done an effective job and doesn’t threaten our democracy.”

“And we have another candidate who is old, barely makes sense when he talks, is dangerous, and threatens our democracy,” Clinton continued, speaking on Trump.

“Pick between your two old ones and figure out how you’re going to save our democracy,” she added.
“Because no matter where you stand on the political spectrum, you want to maintain freedom, and the rule of law, and protection for people’s fundamental rights, or at least I used to think so.”
