Sometimes, nothing hits quite like an iconic McDonald's Egg McMuffin, and if you're one of the people who feels that way, you're in luck because they can be had for $1 today.
Have you heard of National Egg McMuffin day? Apparently, it's a thing. Or at least it is for the golden arches because they're celebrating it on Monday, March 2.
For one day only, fans can get the classic Egg McMuffin or the Sausage McMuffin with Egg sandwich for $1 when ordering through the McDonald’s app.
For all of those who are sticking to their New Year's resolution to eat more protein and stick to low-fat foods, know that McDonald's says the McMuffin is "packed with 17-20 grams of protein, is made with Canadian bacon, a freshly cracked cage-free egg, American cheese and real dairy butter on a toasted English muffin."
For those keeping score, the traditional Egg McMuffin is 310 calories. The Sausage McMuffin with Egg is 480 calories.
McDonald’s has said it “changed the breakfast game forever” when the Egg McMuffin debuted in 1971. The fast food giant bought 2 billion eggs in the U.S. in 2024 alone.
The $1 deal falls on the day before Mickey D's launches its 'boldest' burger yet -- the Big Arch, with two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and Big Arch Sauce, described by McDonald's website as "a tangy, creamy sauce with a perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors."
