Influencers are inhaling tanning nasal spray in new TikTok trend

DALLAS (KLUV) — The world of Influencers and TikTok is a world none of us should want to live in, yet here we are with this latest viral trend.

Beauty influencers have taken to snorting tanning nasal sprays, claiming that it helps give them a nice, glowing tan!

Popular TikTokker @hannahtayy shared the short video to the social media site showing her inhaling the spray, lip synching to audio that says, "I mean I’d rather die hot than live ugly."

Tanning nasal sprays are sold in the United States, and its makers claim it actually increases production of melanin in the skin after they are inhaled thanks to the presence of dihydroxy methylchromonyl palmitate.

However, according to The New York Post, the ingredient has not been approved for inhalation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
