LOS ANGELES (KCBS) — Food is a major part of pretty much every holiday tradition, and Christmas is no different. Of course, plenty of sweets are passed around during the holiday season, especially cookies.
Now, a map has gone viral using Google Trends to find out each state’s favorite Christmas cookie. For California, the top searched for cookie was a "Snoopy Christmas cookie."
Other favorites on the map include a love of lemon Christmas cookies in Oregon, vegan Christmas cookies in Washington and gluten free Christmas cookies in Maine and Wisconsin searched for gluten free Christmas cookies, according to USA Today.
"The East coast seemed to favor the internationally inspired cookies in Search," Google Trends curator Annanya Raghavan told the news outlet.
"While the South seemed to be searching for Christmas flavored treats, and the Midwest was searching for Christmas cookies with alternative ingredients."
