McDonald’s employee on the run after shooting manager

Police in Atlanta are searching for a McDonald’s employee who shot his manager Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Atlanta Police Department, officers arrived on the scene at the 443 Moreland Ave. McDonald’s around 4:14 p.m. Friday and found a female victim – the manager – with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

An investigation into the incident revealed that the manager and employee were involved in a dispute before the incident and the manager asked the employee to leave. While he did leave the premises, the employee returned and confronted the victim outside the fast food restaurant, where he shot her before fleeing.

Aggravated Assault investigators looking into the details of the circumstances surrounding the shooting and an investigation of the altercation continues.

“Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light,” said police.
