LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The music of Neil Young will once again grace the ears of SiriusXM listeners, following the artist's request to have his music removed from Spotify over what he called COVID misinformation being spread by Joe Rogan on the platform.

The legendary rocker gave Spotify this ultimatum this week: address the "false information about vaccines" on Rogan's podcast, or remove Young's entire collection from Spotify. The streaming giant decided to fulfill only Young's second request.

In a triumphant tweet, SiriusXM spoke up the next day, writing "We know where the music's playin,'" as a tribute to Young's infamous "Harvest Moon" lyric, in its announcement of his limited-time channel return.

"Neil Young Radio is dedicated to the legendary and ever-evolving rock icon and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, featuring rarities and exclusives," SiriusXM said in a statement.

The streaming service also promised that every new song from Young's latest album, "Barn" would also be available, among other works and weekly concert broadcasts from the artist's vaults.

“When you have an opportunity to present an iconic artist still at the height of his creativity, you don’t hesitate to do it, again,” said Steve Blatter, SiriusXM Senior Vice President and General Manager, Music Programming.

“Outspoken, brave and a true music icon, Neil Young is in a rare class of artists, and we are honored to collaborate with him to create a special audio experience for his fans.”
