LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Dave Chappelle is behind a new stand-up series for Netflix that will see him introducing four of his favorite longtime comics, who he says deserve their time to shine.
'Chappelle's Home Team' will premiere Feb. 28 on Netflix with comedian Earthquake and the special 'Earthquake: Legendary'. Another confirmed comedian for the series is Donnell Rawlings, according to Variety.

Each featured comedian is one that inspired Chappelle and has been around for more than three decades.
"I’ve been doing this a long time and comedians like Quake and Donnell are not only friends but have inspired my own career," Chappelle said in a Netflix press release shared with UPROXX.
"Anyone in the comedy community knows these names and knows their time to shine is long overdue. I am proud to be a part of this moment."
News of Chappelle's work with Netflix comes three months after controversy surrounding his last comedy special with the streaming giant.
Last October Chappelle was under fire for his special "The Closer," in which he was accused of making offensive jokes that were called transphobic and offensive.
Thousands of people protested the show following its release, demanding that Netflix remove it. But the company stood by Chappelle.
A promotional ahead of "The Closer" release date last October featured Chappelle saying, "Sometimes the funniest thing to say is mean. Remember, I'm not saying it to be mean. I'm saying it because it's funny."
