The Food and Drug Administration announced that New York-based Feel Good Foods LLC is recalling 4,246 cases of its frozen Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites because the products may contain foreign objects -- specifically metal pieces.
While the company initiated the recall on February 5, no press release was issued at the time. On February 19, the FDA upgraded the recall to a Class II alert, according to an enforcement notice. The classification indicates that while the affected products could pose potential health risks, the likelihood of causing serious harm or death is considered low.
The recalled products were sold in 8-ounce boxes and have a UPC of 899039002808, lot code of 24354AV1 or 24355AV1, and a best-by date of June 19, 2026 or June 20, 2026.
The snacks were sold at grocery stores throughout the country, including Kroger, Meijer, Whole Foods, Target, Wegman's and others.
The FDA did not mention if any injuries or adverse reactions related to the product have been reported.
Anyone with the recalled product should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
