LOS ANGELES (KNX) – The indictment against Former President Donald Trump has made some Republican voters support him more, according to Longwell, a DC communications firm.
Gunner Ramer, the firm’s political director, told LA’s Morning News that two focus groups have been held since the indictment.
“We've done focus groups with just about 50 Republican primary voters and we asked them, ‘Does this make you support Trump more or less?’” he said. “Only two out of those 50 have said less and 19 actually say they support Donald Trump more.”
Ramer also noted Trump’s ability to tap into grievance politics as also played a role in garnering more support from Republican voters.
“…This idea of being a victim and that when the attacks are after him, they're not just after him, they're after you, the Republican primary voter," he said. "And what Donald Trump has tapped into has turned into this very strong ability to just garner support almost cult-like.”
