Russia slams back at President Biden for calling Putin a "killer"

President Joe Biden previously called Russian President Vladimir Putin a "killer" this week," and now Russia is slamming back saying the relationship between the two superpowers is "very bad."

Biden answered "Mmm, I do," after he was asked in an ABC interview whether he thought Putin was a killer, according to a CNN story.

Putin responded Thursday saying he wished Biden "good health" adding "It's true, we really know each other personally. What would I answer him? I would tell him: be healthy," Putin said to CNN. "I wish him good health. I say this without irony, no jokes. This is first of all."

Moscow also recalled its U.S. ambassador Wednesday after the news.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in an AP story that the president did not regret referring to Putin as a killer.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, meanwhile, said Biden didn't want to improve relations with Russia. CNN reported that when asked how it can affect relations, Peskov said "it is absolutely clear how," but refused to elaborate.

Moreover, it was reported that Biden, in 2011, claims he told Putin he thought he didn't have a soul.
