Six people dead as part of mass murder-suicide pact in Texas

ALLEN (1080 KRLD)- Allen police say six members of one family are dead after a mass murder-suicide.

Allen is about 20 minutes outside of Dallas.

Allen Police discovered the bodies in a home just before 1:00 a.m. when they got a call for a welfare check. Police Sergeant Jon Felty says family members ranging from age 10 all the way up to a grandparent were found dead with gunshot wounds.

"It looks like two teenage sons entered into an agreement that they were going to commit suicide and that they were going to take their family members with them," Felty says.

He adds that there is no threat to the neighborhood. There is no record of problems at that home and he says the family appears to have immigrated from Bangladesh.

This is a developing story.
