Jared Kushner is out.

That's according to people who worked closely with the former President Trump's son-in-law or others who are familiar with him and spoke on background to CNN in a story.

Kushner was not present when Trump was organizing his own appearance at last weekend's CPAC conference.

Recently, the Manhattan District Attorney was able to gain access to Trump's tax returns through a Supreme Court decision.

"Right now, he's just checked out of politics," says one person, echoing the mindset of Kushner's wife, Ivanka Trump, who is so over the political bubble she has told friends and colleagues of late to not utter anything to do with Washington," according to the CNN story.

CNN reported that Trump was angry with his son in law about the 2020 election.

Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, moved to Florida after Trump's term ended and before Joe Biden's inauguration in January.

During Trump's presidency, Kushner was tasked with brokering peace in the Middle East, thawing Mexico relations with the U.S., and other foreign policy stints all while not having any previous government or diplomatic experience. He served as a White House Senior Advisor to the president. In addition, Vanity Fair reported "that between January 1, 2020, and January 20, 2021, the couple earned between $23,791,645 and $120,676,949 in combined outside income."

Kushner's background lies in real estate through his family and father's connections. Last year, Trump pardoned 29 people including Jared's father, Charles Kushner.

"Another person familiar with Kushner's new chapter, says he wants closure and a fresh start, one that doesn't include advising his father-in-law on a daily basis," the CNN story said.
