If you have bottled Starbucks beverages in your fridge, you'll want to pay attention to this recall before cracking one open.

More than 200 cases of bottled Starbucks drinks are being recalled in seven states because they may be contaminated with metal fragments.

The recall involves Starbucks' Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot drinks packaged in 15 ounce bottles, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Pepsico Inc, which makes and distributes the products, initiated the recall on August 15 after determining the drinks may contain metal fragments.

The FDA did not mention how the drinks potentially became contaminated or how the issue was discovered.

The recalled drinks were distributed to retail stores in the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas. Stores that sold the products were not identified.

No further details, including UPC numbers or expiration dates, were provided. The FDA posted the recall in an enforcement report on September 8; it did not announce the recall in a press release.

The status of the recall is ongoing, which means it could possibly grow. Officials did not mention any reports of injury or adverse reactions linked to the recalled products.

Anyone with a recalled product should discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
