Target is offering Thanksgiving meals to feed four for $20

On Monday, Target announced that it would offer shoppers a discount this holiday season, with Thanksgiving meals that can feed four people starting at just $20.

The deal from the Minneapolis-based retailer comes as Target continues to try and regain inflation-weary customers.

“From lowering the price of our Thanksgiving dinner menu to just $20, to a range of hosting and gifting options and special Target Circle 360 offerings, we’re serving up the kind of exceptional quality and value that sets Target apart,” Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Target, said in a news release.

In the meal offering, customers will get a frozen turkey, potatoes, canned green beans, cream of mushroom soup, a boxed stuffing mix, and jarred gravy, the company shared in the release.

Target now joins its retail competitors, Aldi and Walmart, as well as some fast-food chains, looking to cut inflation-weary consumers a break.

Sam’s Club is offering to deliver pre-cooked meals for up to 10 for less than $100 for members of the warehouse club.

This isn’t the first time Target has looked to slash prices for those who have felt the effects of inflation.

Over the summer, Target said that it would implement around 5,000 price cuts on everyday name brand and in-house items.

The retailer said in May it expected its reduced prices to “collectively save consumers millions of dollars” on household items like milk, diapers, and more.
