It was a mistake.
That's what Twitter is saying after the social media platform accidentally suspended controversial Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Friday.
The suspension was for 12 hours. Twitter released a statement saying "This action has been reversed, and access to the account has been reinstated,” the company said in a statement," according to an AP story.
In February, Greene, who has been loudly vocal when it comes to racist rhetoric and QAnon conspiracy theories, called out the “morons” in both parties who had voted to kick her off her committees. She didn't specifically apologize for her rhetoric but said she regrets some words in the past.
Just recently, Greene came under fire when she was criticized for putting up an anti-transgender sign across from Illinois Rep. Marie Newman who has a transgender child.
On Twitter Friday, Greene tweeted "I was just told @Twitter suspended me for 12 hrs in “error,” on the same day Dems introduced a resolution to expel me from Congress. What a coincidence? Twitter’s little error wasn’t resolved until after 12 hrs. @jack which employee made the “error?” Reply to my email, Jack"
