NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A coyote who has been spotted roaming Central Park in recent years was seen again this week.

Twitter user @benys_lookbook posted video of the animal trotting through the snow around 10 p.m. Monday.

“I spotted a COYOTE at the Conservatory Water,” he tweeted, referencing the pond near Fifth Avenue and E. 74th Street.

The coyote was also seen “strolling west of the Reservoir late Saturday evening,” according to birder David Barrett.

The Parks Department told the New York Post that the coyote is believed to be the only one in the park.

“Many are surprised to learn that a coyote hangs out in Central Park from time to time,” a department spokesperson told the outlet. “New Yorkers should not be concerned: we believe there is only one coyote; and have no reason to believe that the population has increased, at this time.”
