LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The Biden Administration reopened the White House to the public Friday, for the first time in more than one year.
Officials first announced the reopening last month, saying the public tours would be available from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each week on Friday and Saturday, excluding federal holidays.
All White House tours are free to the public, and must be requested through a Member of Congress, according to a White House statement. All tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
"The White House will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation with guidance based on recommendations from the CDC, and other public health officials and medical experts, and reserves the right to adjust availability of the public tours as necessary to adhere to the latest health guidance." officials added.
While face masks are not required on the tours, they will be available when entering the White House complex for those who choose to wear them.
