This Taylor Swift-Ticketmaster fiasco has no end in sight. It’s been a complete and utter disaster for fans trying to secure their tickets to one of Swift’s upcoming shows, and it was a particularly rough time for a woman named Sydney Wallace.
The 25-year-old waited in the online queue for eight hours trying to buy tickets of her own, and though she was able to secure a couple, she was charged…14 times…for tickets she never bought.
The total amount at the end? Almost $9,000!
Wallace told Insider that she entered her credit card information, but when she went to check out, SeatGeek would not allow her to complete her purchase.
She claims the site would reroute her to get new tickets several times, with each time the price increasing. In the end she was charged 14 times for tickets she never purchased, and her bank account was flagged for potential fraud!
In the end, she wasn’t even able to fully purchase the only two tickets she wanted!
Wallace reportedly reached out to SeatGeek in an attempt to get her money back, though she claims they told her that since “of the charges resulted in a ticket purchase and that I had to wait 3 to 5 business days to receive a refund.”
Wallace did say though that her bank “has been really nice about it” and since removed the overdraft fees.
