Salma Hayek is celebrating another year around the sun by basking in it.
On Thursday, the “Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard” star spent her 55th birthday decked out in a sultry blue swimsuit while on a tropical beach getaway.

In the snap, Hayek put her stunning figure on display in the bright one-piece ensemble while standing confidently in the water. The actress struck a fierce pose as the sun’s rays warmed her flawless face with her brunette locks flowing down her back.
With a lush vista in the background, she captioned the pic, "Happy 55th birthday to me 💃🏻 looking forward to new adventures #grateful."
Hayek’s celebrity admirers were quick to send their well wishes.

Hayek’s birthday follows as her career has recently seen her take a turn in action films.
On the heels of her summer blockbuster “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” alongside Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, Hayek is next poised to wow audiences in Marvel’s “Eternals.”
In the film, the Mexican-born actress will continue to take no prisoners starring as Ajak, a superhero character originally written as male in the comic books.
After completion of the highly-anticipated superhero epic, Hayek admitted she became overcome with emotion.
"Something strange happened. I teared up a little bit. But it was not about my dreams to be a superhero," Hayek shared.
