I couldn’t help but wonder: will they bring back Mr. Big?
Wonder no more, because the upcoming reboot of “Sex and the City” has added Chris Noth to its cast, reported Variety.
Noth will reprise his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s love interest, Mr. Big, in the upcoming HBO Max update of the hit franchise.
The 10-episode series, entitled “And Just Like That,” is set to begin production this summer in the Big Apple.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Chris again on And Just Like That. How could we ever do a new chapter of the Sex and the City story without our Mr. Big?” executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement.
After months of rumors, the revival was confirmed in January with Sarah Jessica Parker reprising her role of Carrie, alongside Cynthia Nixon as Miranda and Kristin Davis as Charlotte.
“The series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s," HBO Max said in a press release at the time.
Kim Cattrall, who played fan-favorite character Samantha, will not be returning for the update.
“Grey’s Anatomy” alum Sara Ramirez has also been tapped to appear in the new iteration and will play Che Diaz, a non-binary, queer stand-up comedian.
The original HBO series aired from 1998-2004 and sparked two spin-off films in 2008 and 2010.
A premiere date for “And Just Like That” has not been announced.
