A 13-year-old girl crashed her parents' Tesla into multiple parked cars, a utility pole, and a street sign Tuesday morning, the Santa Rosa Police Department said.

Officers responded to 729 King Street around 4:35 a.m. where they found a severely damaged Tesla. Three juveniles were at the scene and all sustained minor injuries, according to police.

It is believed the teenager took the car without her parent’s permission

“Based on the juveniles’ statements, the driver lost control on King Street when she hit a dip in the road, causing her to lose even more control. The vehicle hit three parked vehicles, a utility pole, and a street sign,” police said.

Officers are investigating if alcohol or any other factors were involved in the crash.
