Two high schools in the LA School District will become vaccination sites in two weeks.
People will be able to get shots at Lincoln High in East LA and Washington Prep in south LA.
The district is partnering with St. John's Well Child and Family Center.
Jim Mangia, who is president of St. John's and tells KNX 1070 News, this will ensure tens of thousands of people will get vaccine access in the most vulnerable areas.
"To provide access to the communities surrounding the schools and the families and children in those schools to the vaccine, you know, just around the corner from their house, is going to have a profound impact on improving vaccine equity," he says.
The vaccinate sites will open at the schools on April 5th.
The plan is to open more sites at other LAUSD schools.
