SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KNX) — It started with a bobby pin.
But for Demi Skipper, a Bay Area TikTok user, the goal was to go from trading that bobby pin to home.
According to ABC 7, she began the exchange in May 2020 and documented her progress on her TikTok channel, Trade Me Project.
Throughout her exchanges, Skipper received items such as shoes to a minivan to a tractor trailer.
In her latest trade, she exchanged a Chipotle celebrity card for a trailer. That trailer led her to a small two-bedroom house in Nashville, Tennessee, the Guardian reported.
It took 28 trades almost a year and a half to get the house, but Skipper told ABC 7 she was determined.
“I was willing to do this for five years if that's what it took to get to the house," Skipper said.
