Authorities on Saturday recovered "unidentified human remains" in the Yucca Valley that could belong to a woman who vanished from the area over three months ago.
Lauren Cho, 30, went missing the evening of June 28 after leaving her Airbnb in the Morongo Valley, about a 30 minute drive north of Palm Springs, prompting an extensive search in the months since.

The San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday they found a body over the weekend at the "rugged terrain of the open desert of Yucca Valley." The San Bernadino County’s Coroner’s Division will work to identify the body and determine a cause of death.
The identification process could take several weeks, authorities noted.
"No further information will be released until the identity of the deceased has been confirmed," officials said in a release.
Search teams used a bevy of resources to search for Cho, including canine teams and fixed wing aircrafts to investigate the remote mountain terrain.
The sheriff's office previously stated the Cho, a New Jersey resident, was staying at the rental with a group of friends and became upset over an unidentified issue. She allegedly walked out of the residence without taking food, water or her phone and has not been seen since.
