California's state fair will not only have livestock and food competitions next year.
The state fair, which is held annually in Sacramento, will be judging cannabis following Cal Expo's board of directors' approval, according to CBS 13.
"As far as I know, it might be the first time any state fair is doing that," Chair of Cal Expo's Board of Directors Jess Durfee said.
According to the California State Fair Cannabis Award site, the competition is open all the licensed cultivators in the state.
Entries will be accepted beginning November 1st and through March 30, 2022. Winners will be announced May 2022.
