In an attempt to save his two young children, a father has lost his life.
The three were at Sonoma County’s Blind Beach Sunday, when around 2:30 p.m. the man’s 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son were swept out to sea by a massive wave.
The father, 40, ran into the water to save his children, when he too was swept out and drowned.
The man’s body was pulled from the ocean several agencies and rescue swimmers arrived, according KRON.
The children have not been found and are presumed dead.
Multiple first-responding departments in Sonoma County are investigating and working in the search efforts.
