
FULLERTON, Calif. (KNX) – A Fullerton woman was arrested hours after a newborn baby was discovered at a gas station.
Venissa Maldonado, 25, was arrested for attempted murder and felony child abuse, according to KCAL. It was unclear if Maldonado had given birth at the gas station.
On Thursday, crews with the Metro Cities Fire Authority responded to a gas station in the 900 block of Orangethorpe Avenue after a baby was found inside a bag that was put in the bathroom trashcan.
The baby was taken to the hospital where it was listed in critical but stable condition.
