Governor Newsom will formally present his revised budget plan in Sacramento later this morning after a week of events touting his $100 billion spending plan.

Newsom tells CBS Sacramento his proposals aim to bring the state economy “roaring back” and include new grant help for small businesses.

He also says there will be plans to fix the deep-seated problems at the EDD in processing jobless claims.

Republican critics say the Governor's budget plans throw money at a series of problems as he tries to stave off being recalled by voters.

Among the proposals are the $600 dollar stimulus checks for two-thirds of Californians and $12 billion dollars more in spending to tackle the homeless crisis.
