A big win today for youth sports in California: a legal settlement is allowing all high school sports – indoor and outdoor - to resume play.
This stems from a lawsuit filed against the state and San Diego County on behalf of two high school athletes.

Attorney Stephen Grebing says "the guidelines will be published shortly. They are very close to what you would find by way of the California Collegiate guidelines and the institutions for higher education."
He says indoor sports will be allowed with testing.
"Testing within 48 hours of competition, and then periodic testing as well during the week so for some of the kids, depending on the sport you play, it is going to be multiple testing. For sports like football, and some of the other outdoor sports that are less contact, it will either be one test or maybe as we get lower numbers, no testing when we drop below seven per 100,000," he says.
A partnership has been made to offer testing for other sports that the state is not covering.
Players will be allowed to have four immediate family members as spectators. It will still be up to schools and districts to decide whether to allow indoors sports.
