Lodi Police arrest 18-year-old in connection to 14-year-old's drug overdose

LODI, Calif. (KNX) – An 18-year-old Sacramento girl was arrested in the death of a teenage girl, the Lodi Police Department said.

On Saturday, police responded to a call of a 14-year-old who had possibly overdosed. The teen was taken to the hospital and died a couple days later.

During an investigation, officers arrested 18-year-old Cecilia Silva in connection to the teen’s death.

She was booked into San Joaquin County Jail on multiple charges, including manslaughter, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and willful child cruelty resulting in death. Her bail is set for $1 million.

Her next court date is scheduled for March 8.
