Man sought in Queens fatal shooting arrested in California: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Thursday announced they arrested a man in Fresno, California was who sought in Queens deadly shooting last June, authorities said.

Officials arrested 20-year-old Rajtirath Bassi, of Rahway, New Jersey and extradited him to South Ozone Park on Wednesday.

He was charged with murder and weapons possession.

On June 25, police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the vicinity of 129th Street and Sutter Avenue in South Ozone Park.

Upon arrival, officers observed 31-year-old Satnam Singh sitting in a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds to the neck and torso.

EMS transported Singh to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
