Dispatchers responded to call at 7:45 p.m. of a baby boy choking at the fast food restaurant and an officer, who luckily was in a parking lot across the street addressing a separate incident, rushed over. The policeman, identified as Officer Garcia, arrived on the scene to find the baby not breathing or moving.

Officer Garcia immediately applied CPR for several minutes before the baby began breathing again, according to authorities.

Fire personnel came shortly after to provide additional medical help and the baby was transported to a local hospital to receive further treatment. He has since been released and returned home to his family.

"I am so proud of the quick actions that were taken to help this littlest Mountain View resident," Chief Chris Hsiung said. "It is a good feeling to know we have someone like Officer Garcia ever ready to help our community in a time of need."
