The shooting reportedly happened after a group was asked to leave the party. Members of the group containing the alleged shooter fled the area in a vehicle, but crashed into a parked car. They then fled on foot.

No adults were on the property at the time of the shooting.

“The birthday party was posted on social media and then the party, for lack of better words, got out of control,” said Fresno police Lt. Paul Cervantes. “It was nothing short of a melee, it was chaotic, pandemonium. Individuals were fleeing on foot, hopping fences, cars leaving the area crashing into parked vehicles.”

A neighboring house and two parked cars were hit by gunfire.
