SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KNX) – On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to announce that the federal government will give the state of California $600 million for wildfire recovery efforts.

The vice president's speech is expected to take place at a fire station in the San Bernardino area.


Her speech is set to be the first to present the Biden administration's infrastructure bill, which allots $5 billion for fighting wildfires, as well as wildfire prevention and preparedness, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The vice president and former California senator will be joined by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack during her visit.
