It’s back! In a matter of days British Tennis Pro Andy Murray managed to lose and find his wedding ring — all because he had tied it to his stinky sneakers.

“I tie my wedding ring to my tennis shoes when I'm playing, cause I can’t wear it on my hand,” Murray said in an Instagram post Wednesday.

“So needless to say, I’m in the bad books at home..If anyone can share this or they have any clue where they may be...it would be very helpful so I can try to get [the ring] back.”

More than 130,093 people liked the post, and seemingly went on a wedding ring hunt to help the guy out. Then, on Thursday, he shared the amazing news that both items were returned.

“Had to make a few calls today and...would you believe it? They still absolutely stink but the shoes are back, the wedding ring is back and I’m back in the good books. Let’s go!”

Let's get back to how his admittedly stenchy sneakers are related to his wedding ring.

Two days ago, Murray said his tennis shoes, the pair he wears during matches, were smelling less than fresh. So he wasn’t keen on taking them to his hotel room.

Instead of leaving the shoes outside his room, he left them under his car.

They were gone by morning, and Murray said he didn’t realize his wedding ring was gone until his doctor asked him where it was. That’s when he grabbed his phone and sent a call out for anyone in the area to send tips or please, return at least the ring.

Murray didn’t share exactly how the shoes and ring were found, but he seemed incredibly excited to be able to tell his wife, Kim Sears, that one of them in particular was back.
