DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A bunch of horses and donkeys are up for adoption at the Humane Society of North Texas.
The non-profit organization received the animals from owners who could no longer care for the animals or were transferred from equine rescue groups wanting to save the animals’ lives.
The animals are being adopted in part through the ASPCA Help A Horse Home Challenge.
The next adoption events will be held on May 18th and June 8th. The public is invited to visit the Humane Society of North Texas Ranch in Joshua, Texas.
You can see the equines available for adoption at hsnt.org.
By participating in the ASPCA Help A Horse Home Challenge, HSNT is eligible to receive a portion of $150,000 in grant funding if it secures the biggest increase in adoptions compared to the same two-month contest period during the previous year.
