CARROLLTON (1080 KRLD) - An arrest has been made in Carrollton after the body of an infant child is found in a flower pot at a cemetery.

It was on March 11th that police say a caretaker working at Perry Cemetery noticed a flower pot out of place. When he moved it and emptied out its contents, the body of an infant child spilled out. The baby girl still had the umbilical cord attached.

Eventually, an 18 year old came forward, telling police she was the child mother.

On Wednesday, police charged the woman Jazmin Lopez of Dallas with capital murder, claiming she intentionally caused the death of her child.

She is currently behind bars on a $500,000 dollar bond
