AUSTIN (KRLD) - An Austin man who dressed up like Santa now faces 40 years in prison.
Randall Jones pleaded guilty to murder and aggravated assault. Witnesses say he dressed up as Santa Clause during a 2017 Halloween party at his place and became intoxicated.
Prosecutors say when guests asked him to go to bed he refused. Instead, they say he went into a bedroom, grabbed a gun and started shooting.
One guest, Michael McCloskey, died. Two others were wounded.
Prosecutors say Jones testified he didn't remember the shootings.
