DALLAS (KRLD) - Bill Bragg used to voice the state's most iconic giant cowboy— Big Tex.
Bragg welcomed visitors to the State Fair of Texas in a warm and booming way from 2002 until 2013, when he was dismissed over a contract dispute.
He died Saturday at 72 years old.
The State Fair of Texas released a statement offering their deepest condolences to Bragg's family and loved ones.
"He was larger than life and will be missed," the statement said.
In addition to his famous baritone, Bragg was also known for founding Yesterday USA back in 1983.
Funeral services are pending at this time.
