LOXLEY, Ala. (KRLD/AP) — Bucee's has opened its first location outside of Texas.
Bucee's opened its new store and travel center in Robertsdale, Alabama, Sunday.
It's located just off Interstate 10 in Baldwin County, between Mobile and Pensacola, Florida. It's believed to be the biggest convenience store in the state of Alabama.
The new travel center has 124 fueling pumps, plenty of clean restrooms and a 50,000 square foot store filled with all sorts of things including souvenirs, homemade fudge, and Beaver Nuggets.
Bucee's is planning to build more stores outside of Texas, including one in Daytona Beach Florida that is scheduled to open this summer.
The company was founded in 1982 and is based in Lake Jackson, Texas. Its 34 other stores are mostly clustered around cities in eastern Texas, particularly Houston
