WYLIE (1080 KRLD) - A child drowned while swimming at Lake Lavon Thursday afternoon.
Texas Game Wardens say the 7-year-old was with his family at Collin Park in Wylie.
Officials say the boy was in a designated swimming area around 2:00 p.m. The Collin County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a possible drowning.
Texas Game Wardens say paramedics performed CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Lake Pointe.
They say the child was not wearing flotation devices.
