MCKINNEY (KRLD) - Invited by the McKinney mayor, several dozen people gathered last night in honor of the shooting victims in El Paso and Ohio.

Mayor George Fuller pointed out that the El Paso shooting hits close to home because the accused gunman went to high school in nearby Plano and lived recently in Allen.

Lighting candles, the crowd sang, prayed in small groups and listened reverently as a bell was tolled once for each of the victims.

The vigil was held at Mitchell Park in downtown McKinney.
