MANSFIELD (1080 KRLD) - There have been a few more coyote spottings, this time in Mansfield, so officials are making some safety reminders.

Some coyote sightings have been reported from a neighborhood near the Oliver Nature Park on Matlock Road. However, it's not an uncommon place for coyotes to roam, and the lack of leaves on trees does make sightings more common.

City officials in Mansfield say they've heard of 6 total sightings this month, but none were reported as aggressive or led to any injuries.

Still, coyote behavior has been not normal lately. They've grown bolder, especially in Frisco.

A jogger on Eldorado Parkway was attacked this week, making it the sixth attack in that area of Frisco within the last few months.

Coyotes have even been spotted in Dallas in the University Park area.

People are reminded to keep all food and small pets indoors, and if you're out for a walk or jog, stay in a group and carry something noisy with you.
