DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A former 'Dallas' actor who played the nemesis to J.R. Ewing has died.
Ken Kercheval, the actor who portrayed Cliff Barnes, the fellow oil tycoon who repeatedly sparred with Larry Hagman's J.R. Ewing, on the primetime soap opera Dallas, has died. He was 83.
Kercheval's talent agent, Jeff Fisher, confirmed the news to the Hollywood Reporter.
Kercheval and Hagman were the only two cast members who were on Dallas through its entire 1978-91 original run, from pilot to finale. He returned to the character for TNT's 2012-14 reboot.
